Build: Ryeflower is a relatively average height she-cat with a slight and lean build with strong, muscular hind legs that are very often seen among skyclanners.

Coat color: Rye's coat is a light golden tabby color with a large splotch of slate-grey tabby across her back and shoulder. Her underbelly and legs are white as well.
Coat texture: Ryeflower has medium-long fur  with a soft texture when dry; though it feels rough and a bit unpleasant when wet and can weigh her down if she gets too soaked. 

Eye color: Rye has bright amber eyes that are very good at hiding what she's truly feeling inside.

Quiet: "Oh no, you go ahead and talk; I'll just listen."
Ryeflower had once been talkative and outgoing, but life hadn't been so kind to her in those times, making her associate her outgoing nature with pain. She has since grown much more quiet, timid even, content with just being another face in the crowd. Her logic is if nobody notices her then there would be nothing to hurt her again, so she simply remains quiet, though more than willing to listen to others.

Motherly: "Are you sure there is nothing wrong? I'm always here for you."
Ryeflower has always been the kind of cat to go out of her way to help others, but since she has had kits of her own the maternal instinct in her has only grown. Its like her ears have been trained to listen for hidden pain in the voices of others, or for the cry of a kit or apprentice who got themselves hurt, and you can bet if she hears it she'll be there right away ready to make things alright again.

Pacifist: "I've seen too much fighting among those who are meant to be close for one lifetime."
Rye has unfortunately seen and been a part of far too many fights that should not have happened, between too many of her family members and friends; even her own mate for the last few moons before he left. This of course led her to hate any and all kinds of conflict, unable to stand hearing others argue to the point where she will play peacemaker even in situation where she has no right to butt into.

Closed/Withdrawn: "No, no, you don't want to hear about me. It's nothing special..."
This trait goes hand and hand with Ryeflower's quietness in that she feels as though if she lets someone in they will only cause her pain. She was friends with Galestorm, now he hates her; she loved her sister, and she died; she loved Pineclaw and he left her. Her solution to this? Never grow close to anyone other than her kits ever again. That doesn't mean she doesn't care for her clanmates though, she does and she will always be there for them but that doesn't mean she'll let them in.

Warm/Kind: "Here, you can have my sparrow. A growing apprentice needs to eat." 
Ryeflower has always been a kind-hearted cat, always out for the best for her clan, but lately this kindness has grown. Ryeflower knows what its like to hurt, and she will try her hardest to make sure nobody else feels that way; even at the expense of her own health.

Loyal: "I'm by your side, always."
Ryeflower also knows what its like to have someone betray your trust. What its like to think someone will always be there but then have then completely disappear from your life leaving you to wonder what you did to deserve it; wondering what you did wrong. And so she makes it a point to always stand by those who need her. She never wants to do to others what was done to her.

Adherent/Poor leader: "I don't know what to do..."
Once upon a time Rye had her sights set on the deputy position, and she showed brilliant potential, able to make quick decisions and give orders with the best of them. But once she was able to return to her position as a warrior she found she didn't know what to do; she needed someone to give her orders or else she wouldn't have a clue. The shock of losing nearly everything dear to her had caused her to lose her self-worth and her confidence in herself. After all if anything she did was worthwhile then why hadn't anybody stayed with her? Why wasn't Pineclaw still here?

Frightened/Lost: "I used to know what I wanted in life...now I'm not so sure..."
Just like written above, Ryeflower isn't sure what she wants from her life anymore. Before she knew with absolute certainty that she wanted to be deputy, and then maybe even leader. Ryestar had once held a nice ring to it. But now that the chances of that happening have plummeted to zero she doesn't know where to go from here. What did she want from this existence? For now she is mostly content with just watching her kits grow into warriors. But after that...then what?

History:

NOTE: for now this is just a bulleted list of main events in Ryeflower's life, I am working on a much longer version, but it will take a while and I just want to get the main stuff down.

Part 1 [birth - 6 moons]
Ryekit and sister Vixenkit are born to Cloudedpath and Spottedstrike

Ryekit becomes very close friends with Galekit; the two do almost everything together

Ryekit and Galekit proceed to get themselves and their respective siblings into trouble

Time passes and soon enough it is time for the four friends to become apprentices

Part 2 [6 - 12 moons]
Ryekit is named Ryepaw and given Oakshade as a mentor

Ryepaw meets Pinepaw; begins to idolize him

Ryepaw spends almost all her time training to impress Pinepaw; and the rest of it with Pinepaw himself

Galepaw and Ryepaw begin to grow distant; Galepaw turns to Vixenpaw instead

Pinepaw and Ryepaw grow very close as well

Pinepaw becomes a warrior; given the name Pineclaw

Ryepaw continues to train hard; pushing herself to be the greatest so she could be a warrior with Pineclaw

Her hard work pays off and she is made a warrior a moon early at 11 moons. She is named Ryeflower

Ryeflower and Pineclaw continue to be close friends, but Ryeflower starts to feel something more

Vixenpaw, Galepaw, and his brother Sparrowpaw become warriors, and are named Vixensplash, Galeflight, and Sparrowbreeze

Part 3 [12 - 18 moons]
Ryeflower remains friends with Pineclaw, but misses her old friends and attempts to rekindle her old friendship with Galeflight

Ryeflower is surprised to find that Vixensplash and Galeflight had become mates in the time she had been distant from them

The new couple and Ryeflower have a falling out in which they do not speak for two moons

During this time Ryeflower seeks Pineclaw for comfort and to her surprise he confesses having feelings for her, and they become mates

Shortly after that Vixensplash apologizes for acting so childish and Ryeflower returns the apology. The sisters and their respective mates all become friends once more. 

Ryeflower shows exceptional skills in hunting, fighting, and leadership; many cats begin to see a potential future deputy in the young she-cat

Everything was going perfectly for Ryeflower, especially when she was assigned Rosepaw as an apprentice at eighteen moons

Part 4 [18 - 24 moons]
Rosepaw's training went smoothly other than an incident with a fox, but Rosepaw and Rye managed to escape with only a few scrapes

Rosepaw graduates with the name Rosetalon

Part 5 [24-34 moons]
Ryeflower decides while the current deputy is still around she had some time to live her life before she needs to work again on her abitions

She approaches Pineclaw with the idea of kits; he doesn't seem to feel strongly one way or the other. Rye decides to ask him in a few more moons 

Pineclaw starts acting distant; Ryeflower ignores it in favor of asking about kits once more. This time he agrees to it.

At twenty-six moons Ryeflower is pregnant, and soon Vixensplash is as well

Pineclaw grows more distant, paining Ryeflower deeply. Galeflight and Vixensplash begin fighting often, making her feel lost and unsure of what to do

The stress makes Ryeflower long for some time outside and she goes for a walk. She goes into premature labor, but was close enough to camp that the medicine cat heard her and was able to help her through it. Only one kit of the two survives, Rye names her Claykit. She does not name her son

Pineclaw disappears from the clan completely. Nobody knows to where he went or if he's still alive

Vixensplash's kitting does not go well, having five kits when she is so small. She dies during the birth and two kits are stillborn. Since Ryeflower is still producing milk for Claykit she takes the surviving three under her care. She names them Dewkit, Bluffkit, and Poppykit 

Galeflight grows bitter and refuses to speak to Ryeflower. Meanwhile Rye has yet to recover from everything, and becomes withdrawn. Not wanting to be emotionally close to anyone but her kits

Once Ryeflower's kits become apprentices she reluctantly returns to her duties as before, but her ambition is lost. She has no motivation, and wants to see as little violence as possible. Many think it a shame that a warrior who had shown so much potential had been ruined by a broken heart
